9. Lilium
The Lilium is a five-seat VTOL jet that has fixed wings with 12 tilting flaps bearing 36 electric engines. Designed and built in Germany, the company has tested a two-seat version of the jet last year and secured $90 million in funding from investors including Tencent and Twitter co-founder Ev Williams. The german company is aiming to launch an on-demand air taxi service by the year 2025.
