The Cassio Electric-hybrid Aircraft

VoltAeros proprietory Cassio designs based on a sleek aerodynamically optimized fuselage, a forward fixed canard, and an aft set wing with twin booms that support a high set horizontal tail. With a seating capacity of five to twelve, the Cassio electric-hybrid will have a flight duration of not less than three and a half hours. This aircraft will provide a highly reliable and capable general aviation aircraft for private owners, air taxi charter companies, commercial flights, and utility applications.

 

It will be certified to EASACS23 certification specification as a single-engine general aviation aircraft designed for low-cost ownership in the beginning. The aircraft will come in three versions

 

The Cassio 330 Electric-hybrid aircraft.

This is a 4-passenger Cassio electric-hybrid aircraft. It has an empty weight of 5000 kg. The aircraft is powered by one piston engine of 170Kw. The Cassio electric-hybrid power plant is driven by five electric motors of 60Kw each. The aircraft has a range of 1200Km. The maximum cruise speed is 370Km/h. The maximum endurance flight time is 3.5hr. It has a fixed landing gear system. Service delivery is planned for 2024, with the five-seater Cassio 330.
